Eating Disorders and Long Term Effects

A recent study at the University of Helsinki in Finland was performed to show how much of an impact that eating disorders have on pregnancy. The study lasted fifteen years long and showed that women with eating disorders are two times less likely to conceive and if they do get pregnant then they are three times more likely to have a miscarriage. These are shocking statistics. Based on previous research, both obesity and being underweight have huge lifelong effects on pregnancy. (Read more…)
