32,000 Year Old Plant Revived

Thousands of seeds and nuts were discovered in several fossil burrows ancient squirrels used to store food. Scientists used the vitro tissue method to revive and grow 36 of the ancient plants. After artificially pollinating the seeds, it took 8-9 weeks for them to flower, and they now claim these plants are the most ancient organisms ever revived.(Read more…)
