Koalas take deep voice to a whole new level

Koalas have an extra set of vocal folds located above the voice box. This allows them to produce very deep mating calls that sound a little like a donkey braying. Because of their location in their bodies the noise they make can be very deep. It has been compared to an elephants call in pitch and volume. (Read more…)
