Through-out history penguins have lived in Antarctica. Scientists decided to go back and look at glaciers with a high altitude. They proceeded to dig down and categorized the layers into 4 different periods based on the dates. They found out that the penguins were at their greatest population during period 2 (1490 to 1670). This was during the “Little Ice-Age”. The reasoning is they are able to get food and their home is covered when it’s cold. (Read more…)
