A farm worker who lives in Italy has recently been diagnosed with a fungal infection named Aspergilloma growing in his lungs. For a year, the farm worker had been coughing blood, losing an extreme amount of weight, and having multiple fevers, but he never knew fungus that measured three inches was growing on his lungs. Aspergilloma travels into the lungs through the respiratory tract and creates a hole where fungus can grow. If untreated, Aspergilloma can lead to a severe case of pneumonia or death. (Read more…)
