A group of conservationists found 70 dead sea turtles off the coast of Costa Rica. The turtles had been killed by long-lines set by fishermen. A campaign has been launched to help prevent the death of the highly endangered animals by setting regulations on long-line fishing in the area. (Read more…)

  1. Hey Tommy, I never particularly liked the effect of fishing on ecosystems either. I think it’s a pretty cruel sport and we should work towards creating restrictions on the amount of accidental deaths of creatures like these turtles. Fishermen should seriously reconsider being so careless about tossing their lines out.
