There is an old saying that, “the best way to hide something is to put it in plain sight.” This article exemplifies this statement with the discovery of the new species, the Olinguito (oh-lihn-GEE’-toe). This cute critter, mistaken for a similar species called the olingo, and has been living in the National Zoo in Washington for about a year. Up until now, researches have been overlooking this cute creature, until the olinguito’s ‘fussiness’ with potential olingo mates caused researches to take a deeper look into this species.
